Washko & Associates services began back in 2000 when founder Jonathan Washko left his career at a large corporate EMS firm desiring to take his unique talents and expertise in systems and process improvement engineering to a larger spectrum of the EMS industry. Initially partnering with Stout Solutions, Mr. Washko joined forces with Todd Stout and began consulting to help improve EMS organizations on a variety of topics and was a key partner in the development and commercialization of the FirstWatch real-time early warning system. In 2004, due to the success of FirstWatch and Mr. Washko's desire to continue his life's passion of helping to improve EMS systems, Mr. Stout sold the consulting arm of Stout Solutions to Mr. Washko in order to focus their attention on the continued success of FirstWatch. Since then, Washko & Associates has been a key industry leader in helping EMS systems around the globe improve themselves through the application of sound systems and process engineering, industry best practice sharing and the application of manufacturing principles and concepts onto a service industry.

Mr. Washko started in the EMS industry in 1986 at the early age of 16 in the suburbs of Philadelphia where he was a volunteer fire fighter, police dispatcher and EMS provider. In 1990, Mr. Washko attended Hahnemann University where he received his Paramedic Certification and Bachelor degree in Emergency Medical Services Administration with focused studies on EMS system design, adult education and studied under Jack Stout, father of System Status Management. Upon graduating in 1994, Mr. Washko has held various progressive leadership positions at local, regional and corporate levels with small, medium and large sized EMS agencies and is considered the leading industry expert on EMS system design, System Status Management and High Performance EMS concepts. Mr. Washko frequently speaks at national industry venues on a variety of topics, is involved at the national level with various industry groups and has recently returned from an international project where he volunteered his services to USAID in order to help The Republic of Georgia (former Soviet Union) further develop their EMS and health care systems.

Debbie formally joined Washko & Associates in 2009 but has been directly involved in the business since its inception (as she is the spouse of Mr. Washko). Debbie is a former ER nurse and has spent most of her twenty plus year career in health care finance and billing, with a particular passion for collections and denials processing.
As part of her career, Debbie spent 10 years working for HCA, a nationwide health care company, where she was a key designer in developing a new denials process that has recovered millions of dollars of lost revenue for the organization nationwide. Debbie also has extensive experience in hospital based utilization review, discharge planning and case management giving her a rather unique perspective on EMS as a former consumer. Debbie has recently brought this substantial expertise to bear in helping EMS organizations improve their billing and collection processes for maximum collections, efficiency and effectiveness.

Mr. Nadolski joined Washko and Associates in 2010 as a Senior Associate. He has broad experience in the areas of communications, operations, deployment and administration. His career in emergency services spans nearly 20 years, beginning as an EMT on a volunteer ambulance service in Northfield, Vermont.
Over the years, he has held senior leadership positions in major emergency services and healthcare organizations. Mr. Nadolski understands the perspective of the field EMT and paramedic as well as the needs of leading non-profit and for-profit emergency service agencies. Mr. Nadolski also serves as a director of clinical operations with Emory University / Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia.
